Great Tour!!

Diann knew all about the history of Mt Rainier and where to go to maximize my one day on the mountain. There were just a few people on our tour- it was perfect! We hiked several trails, saw waterfalls and wildlife, I loved seeing the mountain goats. She even provided binoculars- I’d forgotten mine. It was great that Diann asked us all what we wanted to see on the ride up. She catered the tour to meet all our wants. I wanted to hike and see waterfalls, another guy wanted to see flowers. She surpasses all our wants by showing us so much more. ........

Extremely Pleased

We chose to book with Discover Nature so that we could see Mt. Rainier in a more personalized way. We were extremely pleased with the results. Diann went out of her way to make our day an amazing experience. We got to hike several trails, see beautiful waterfalls, and eat lunch outdoors sitting on rocks by a stream. You can tell that this is not just a job for Diann. She truly does an amazing job of sharing her knowledge and love of Mt. Rainier.

Not enough superlatives and positive adjectives!!

I just don't have enough superlatives and positive adjectives for this amazing, personalized adventure. I wish there were a Diann/Discover Nature in every port or National Park. She has Ph.D. level knowledge of the area, but her love of nature and the outdoors really shone through and made this day trip truly exceptional and very memorable. ...............

Mt Rainier from Seattle
Outstanding Guide!

Diann is an outstanding guide! Anyone can look at Mt. Rainier and appreciate it, but with Diann's hikes paired with her extensive knowledge of the history, plants, and wildlife, she transforms Mt. Rainier into a living story that you become a part of. Diann has such a passion for Mt. Rainier, that you cannot help but feel the same passion too. I highly recommend this tour to anyone! Thank you for the great tour and great pictures Diann!

Highlight of our trip to Seattle!

I’m so glad we found this tour. This is by far the best way to see Mt Rainier. Diann is a wonderful guide and takes you to the sights that you will not want to miss out on. We were fortunate to have her all to ourselves (just the 3 of us), but even if it’s full tour, it’s still going to be very personalized! Thank you Diann for an awe-amazing day!

Wish there was a rating higher than excellent

If you want to experience Mount Rainier this is the way to go. Diann was FANTASTIC. So knowledgeable, so accommodating. The small tour size was great. There were the three of us and another couple. (5 total). Perfect. The van was VERY comfortable. The first stop to pick up our lunches is a wonderful bakery/coffee shop. We were able to get something there. Wonderful baked goods. Then off to the mountain. Every stop was perfect. We experienced hiking through the forest (my husband has bad knees so wore braces) Diann was aware and she made the hike accessible and easy for him. The other couple didn't want "challenging" hiking either so it worked out well. We saw waterfalls, an alpine lake, "THE" mountain from different vantage points, glaciers, glacier rivers, lunched by a river (lunch was great), Diann brought out binoculars and at one stop a telescope and we could see a hiking party on their way to the base camp in the snow. We saw Marmots and a fox. A beautiful prairie. Every sight, was better than the last. Our family cannot recommend this tour enough. We all agreed it was the best tour we have ever been on for anything. It is long and you are tired by days end. But, you can truly say you experienced Mount Rainier.

Need more than 5 stars! This was AMAZING

I just don't have enough superlatives and positive adjectives for this amazing, personalized adventure. I wish there were a Diann (our guide and owner of Discover Nature) in every port or National Park. She has Ph.D. level knowledge of the area, but her love of nature and the outdoors really shone through and made this day trip truly exceptional and very memorable. We started at the bottom of Mt. Ranier in a temperate forest hike, moved up to waterfalls and finally to an invigorating snow shoe hike. Diann thought of everything, and had every type of equipment and supply we could possibly need on hand. If you love the outdoors, are seeking more than a quick stop for a 5 second selfie, and have limited time in the Seattle area- DO THIS!! Worth every penny and the memories are priceless.
